On this auspicious year that marks the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne, public and private organizational have held many celebrations and activities throughout the year 2006

As part of the celebrations, The Sala Chalermkrung Foundation in conjunction with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, The Crown Property Bureau, along with supporting units from public and private sectors have organized the Sala Chalermkrung Khon Project. The Project aims to give all Thais more chance to appreciate Khon - Thai Masked Dance, which is in line with the foundation's founding objective of promoting the thai arts and culture. This project is also intended to promote this classical art from among foriegners in a bid to increase their attraction to Thai cultures.
